The company was founded 1980 in Correggio, at the heart of the Northern Italian Emilia region, well known for its industrial vitality. Here the spirit of post war entrepreneurs provided research and developed production in the engineering industry. Correggio is the world centre for technology in plastic moulding and in the production of specialist components for the automotive industry, and here Megaline has developed, as first activity, a wide range of goods for fishing sport. In the late ‘80s Megaline took up the increasing demand for gun cleaning kits and plastic and metal snap caps, as well as catapults and crossbows for sport. In 2003 the company was strengthened by a new partnership which designed and produced plastic moulded items such as gun travel cases, plastic shooting accessories and bespoke line packaging. The company has two manufacturing plants, one specializing in the plastic moulded range, and the other in the engineered accessories. Together they produce a range which is the most comprehensive in the Italian market. 80% of Megaline’s production is exported. Megaline brand is seen as the bench mark for world markets. |
